Trinity Harper’s Hard Floor Cleaning Service

If you own a business with hard floors, you’ll know that it’s just as important to keep those floors clean as it is to keep a carpet clean. Whatever kind of room – whether it’s a kitchen, bathroom or laundry room, a foyer, a factory floor or even a laboratory – cleanliness and hygiene are hugely important, particularly where food is being prepared. The equipment and processes we use are tailored to the specific requirements of the floor we are cleaning so you can rest assured of a high-quality job.

What kind of equipment do we use?

We clean hard floors using a combination of the following techniques:

* hand-washing

* mopping

* steaming

* spot-cleaning

* vacuuming

* polishing

We begin by vacuuming floor surfaces thoroughly with a canister vacuum. We use a general-purpose cleaner with water on non-wooden floors, making sure to use only clean water on any surface. We are also always extremely careful to make sure that buckets are placed on cloth to prevent scratching. When it comes to wooden floors, we clean with water and cloths only, again to make completely certain that there is no scratching.

Choosing equipment that is best-suited to each individual surface, we will also use flat mops, hard floor steam cleaners and steam mops. Unless requested otherwise, all floors are also spot-cleaned. Kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms and foyers are all usually hand-washed.

What types of surface do we clean?

Essentially, we work with all surfaces. Here’s a short list of the types of hard floor we clean most commonly:

* Wood, stone and tiled floors

* Concrete, granite and marble

* Terrazzo, travertine and limestone

* Linoleum, vinyl and laminate floors

* Yorkstone, sandstone, slate and terracotta

How long does it take to dry?

Depending on the surface, there is usually a period of approximately 2 hours after the finish is applied where the floor should be allowed to fully dry. Also, depending on the size of the room, it generally takes up to 3 hours to complete the cleaning process. In total, we’re looking at a maximum of five hours spent cleaning your hard floor.

How often should a hard floor be cleaned?

This really depends on what the room is used for – a busy commercial kitchen will require a professional clean more frequently than, for example, a storeroom. Obviously, a commercial kitchen requires that its floor is cleaned every day, but for a professional clean, we would advise at least once every 3-6 months, depending on heaviness of use.
